About Me

When I was in middle school I heard about the great opportunity to be able to travel to a foreign country and do service work once I entered high school. As soon as my freshman year started I applied to the Service Learning Club. Through this club I was able to travel to Tijuana, Mexico and Manchester, Jamaica to do service in improvised areas. These service trips have opened my eyes to the great needs of others in the world, and how I can be the change within my community and the broader communities of the world. I am encouraged by this need to pursue a public health degree with a premedical concentration during my undergraduate studies at OSU. Afterwards I plan to attend medical school so that in the future I can provide much needed healthcare worldwide.. I am motivated to prevent and treat people who might not receive treatment when the become ill, and expand my knowledge of the problems facing the entire globe.
