Fikunmi Idowu is a first-year scholars student at The Ohio State from Jackson, Mississippi. An actuarial science major, Fikunmi has become involved with a few organizations on campus, including Morrill Scholars, LSAMP, PASS, and International Affairs Scholars. In the past, she has spent her time on the stage, as she has been acting since sixth-grade, volunteering at local museums and charity events, assisting her high-schools Student Admissions Team, playing sports, and traveling abroad to fuel her interest in the world. Hoping to continue many of the activities she pursed in high school, Fikunmi has plans to make an impact on her campus and the world. In her free time, she enjoys taking photographs, singing, and writing poetry.
Hi Fikunmi,
I’m a Producer with Al Jazeera, I’d really like to speak with you about the term “African-American”; is there an email address I can reach you on?
Best,
Anade Situma
