“The Iran-Iraq War: The War No One Knows About”
Williamson Murray is adjunct professor at the Marine Corps University, having just completed a two-year stint as a Minerva Fellow at the Naval War College. A graduate of Yale University, he taught for two years in the Yale History Department before moving to The Ohio State University as a military and diplomatic historian.
Abstract:
Murray will provide a brief discussion about the Iran-Iraq War in which nearly 1 million Arabs, Kurds, and Iranians perished. The talk will examine the course and consequences of the most costly war in the past 35 years. Attendees are welcome to bring a brownbag lunch.
