Artifacts
An artifact I feel is representative of my academic interest is the software Adobe illustrator. As an architecture student, I use adobe illustrator to draw and edit plans, sections, and elevations. I also use the software to create isometric drawings of a structure or figure. I feel this is representative of my interests because the skills I am learning on adobe illustrator can be applied to many other design and art fields if I wanted to. Adobe Illustrator is one of the many software’s used in the Architecture school, but it is also one of the most complex given the users skill level.
About Me
Hello everyone!!! My name is Alex Hubert and I am currently a freshman enrolled in The Ohio State University. I am currently working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture. I am apart of the Architecture, Landscape, and City Scholars program and likes to be involved around campus in extra-curriculars, service, and more. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio; more specifically a small town outside of Cleveland called Bainbridge where I graduated magna cum laude from Kenston High School(Go Bombers). I love to travel and hopes to see various cultures and landmarks throughout the entire world, but for now, I’m perfectly happy exploring Columbus. I was involved in the swimming and diving team in high school as well as the theater program. I like to workout, listen to music, play sports, and sometimes just chill out on a hammock. I am so excited to be here at The Ohio State University and can not wait for what the year has to bring.
I love the arts, visual, audio, etc.. I am appealed to any kind of art creativity. I decided to be an architecture major because I am appealed to the creative and hands on approach to architecture, as well as the practical and logical approach. In the long run I would either like to become a licensed architect, a set designer for theater and film, or just some sort of artist. In layman’s terms, I do not know what I want to do specifically, but I do know that whatever it is that I end up doing, it will be hands on and creative.
I hope that any one feels free to reach out to me for help in any way possible. I am open to all people from all places. If you see me around campus feel free to say hello…it will make my day. Once again, I can not wait for a great school year, GO BUCKS.
