Student Participants Information

Students who participate in this event can obtain credit that can apply to unique experiences such as travel abroad opportunities, domestic travel and more.


Date: Sunday, October 27, 2024

Shift Time:  4 pm – 8:15 pm 

Location:  The Fives (transportation to be provided to/from campus for student participants)

Shuttle Time:  Shuttle will depart from PAES at 3:45pm and return around 8:30pm (leave The Fives at 8:15pm)

Roles: (Selected based upon class & experience)

  • Server: You will assist in dinner service alongside of serving team. This will encompass set-up, serving, clearing, and tear down. Experience is not required, you will participate in a brief training at the beginning of your volunteer shift.
  • Registration/Guest Services: This role is responsible for greeting, welcoming, checking in, facilitating game area, working with children, and making sure the families have an amazing night out.
  • Back of House (Kitchen): This role will be working in the kitchen to prepare or set-up food. You are responsible for plating meal and other back of house duties.
  • Ambassador: These will be volunteers who will direct, answer questions, and provide hospitality for the families when arriving to the event.

Dress Code:
Black slacks and a white button-down shirt. Students will be provided with ties. Any student that has challenges with uniforms should contact turpin.26@osu.edu two weeks prior to the event.

Orientation:
Orientation will take place at the beginning of your shift.
