Project Statement
The goal of this collage was to provide an insight into the story of “The Juniper Tree” through a very hectic but gathered group of images organized into a fictional space. Brought out the fantasy components of the space through the songbirds and greenery flowing throughout this interior. Included a variety of macabre elements to bring that aspect of the story into the collage. The mother in the story is represented by Monroe who sits at the end of a dining table full of items present in the story, like the decapitated boy, poison apple, and mill wheels.

Reflection
I would probably make a few aspects feel a bit more cohesive in their shadows and coloring but overall I was very happy with this outcome. I feel like the space comes together well, ignoring the resolution issue of the fireplace area (Tried to fix this through sharpening but it did little to help, should have searched for a better resolution photo when I realized the issue). It was hard to come up with a concept for this project but after collecting objects from the story and describing the story in a more visual way it made it a bit easier to find the concept of the cannibal mother.
