Site Leader for MLK Day of Service

I was a site leader for MLK Day of Service through Pay it Forward on January 16th, 2017. This was such a rewarding experience for both myself and my group members! I lead ice breaker activities, accompanied my group to the Columbus Metropolitan Library in Gahanna to help serve the community by organizing and shelving their books, and at the end of the day conducted a reflection process with my group members to emphasize why we helped serve on MLK Day. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man of service, and he dedicated his life to helping others. He saw things that were wrong in the world, and then committed himself to making a change through his actions and good deeds. We can all learn a lot from MLK, and being a site leader and participating in the MLK Day of Service was a great way to remember him and continue to carry out his dream.
