DISC stands for the Dyslexia Intervention and Screening Clinic at the Newark campus of The Ohio State University. All services that I provide are aligned with the science of reading. I am certified through CERI and IDA as a Structured Language Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SL-DI) and a Master Trainer – Institutional Level  through Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham, International.

I started this clinic in December of 2019. I provide free screenings for individuals ages 5 through 99. Email hessler.16@osu.edu to schedule. Put “Screening Request” in the subject line. I’m currently scheduling 9-ish months out.

I ran a tutoring clinic from 2020 through summer of 2024.  I am NOT currently running the tutoring clinic. It is possible that I will reopen it during summers, starting 2025, serving children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
