About HealthNow

HealthNow is a population health-focused program using a systemic approach to address health needs in a more proactive way with a focus on patients who may be living with HIV, Hepatitis C, substance use disorder (SUD) and other infectious diseases. Health Promotion Advocates (HPAs) universally screen patients for diseases of public health importance, address barriers to care and intervene with populations most at risk for threats to health and well-being. 

The HealthNow team universally screens patients who present to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center facilities (East and Main campus) for various health related services such as substance use disorder (SUD), HIV testing, Hepatitis C, harm reduction education, naloxone distribution and assist with linkage to care.
