We are an undergraduate focused research group dedicated to growing and characterizing graphene.
Using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), we grow graphene on copper in a dedicated tube furnace.
Graphene is then transferred onto an insulating substrate (300nm SiO2 on Si) and is ready for characterization.
Using optical microscopy and Raman spectroscopy, we verify that we have grown single layer graphene and evaluate it’s quality.
