The artifact that represents who I am that is connected with my first Autumn semester of college is my guitar. My guitar was something at home that could always be relied upon to bring me peace and joy, and this has continued into college. Even though I have been stuck under a high course load and other responsibilities I still make time to enjoy improving myself through music. The guitar represents the side of me that isn’t consumed with perfectionism and stress, but a channel for anything that I’ve been suppressing to make its way out. Guitar is a reminder that there is something else in the world besides work.
