We are an Ohio State student organization dedicated to providing OSU students, faculty, staff, and members of the Columbus community with the opportunity to raise puppies to become guide dogs for the visually impaired through Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Volunteer puppy raisers adopt their dogs and 2-3 months of age and provide them with basic obedience instruction and a wide range of socialization experiences.  We return the dogs to Guiding Eyes for the Blind in Yorktown Heights NY at 14-16 months old when they are ready to work with professional trainers.

Puppy raisers and their dogs attend classes held on the OSU campus two to four times a month to receive instruction and support regarding what your puppy should be learning and experiencing.  We also take the puppies on group outings and organize events and activities to raise awareness of guide dogs and the visually impaired in our community.
