Ever since football season started, my love for OSU has increased. I have lived in Columbus almost my entire life and have attended multiple OSU football games, but I have never really cared about them. Since I began college at OSU, I have gone to every single home game with the group of friends I made in the first week. Watching the games with a group of close friends (instead of my parents) has not only been a great way to spend time with the people I care about, but it has also given me a passion for OSU football and a large sense of school spirit. Going to the football games with my friends has actually given me a reason to pay attention to what is happening on the field – at least what I can make out from the top of the student section. All of my friends know more about football than I do, in fact my roommate even played in high school, and thanks to them, I can now follow what is happening. While I am sad the season is coming to an end, I look forward to watching the Buckeyes send that team up north back to where they came from. My positive experience with football has encouraged me to try out watching more sports with my friends.
