Some of our Fashion and Retail Studies students participated in a holiday window design contest that will be on display throughout the holiday season in the Old Worthington Quarter Plaza at the corner of High St. and New England Ave.
One of our students and the leader of the winning team, Taylor Burke Melaragno, had this to say:
“After three long months of talking to store owners, rendering window displays, building mock-ups, and shopping for materials– we did it! The Wonderful Window Party was the night for all students to showcase what we have been working so hard on this semester. We had the pleasure of meeting many industry professionals that night, and talking about this project with them felt like a great accomplishment to so many of us. After the mixer, students stood by one of their group’s windows, and the judges, as well as other people, came by to see and chat about our designs. Over the weekend, judging took place and a winning team was chosen. The winning team will receive a $1,000 prize, but the experience of the project alone is worth talking about!”
Congratulations to all students on their fabulous displays!
