Environmental Humanities at Ohio State brings together scholars and students from multiple fields to think collectively and imaginatively about the role of the humanities in addressing the most pressing ecological challenges: climate change, biodiversity loss, the Anthropocene, the disappearing boundaries between nature and culture, and the changing status of the human, among others. Our program is funded for two years (2016-2018) by the Humanities & Arts Discovery Themes. Drawing on the vast expertise of humanities and arts faculty and staff with interests in the environment, we will develop new programming and events, collaborative research initiatives, and curriculum for undergraduates and graduate students.
