Lab 03- Creative Design Thinking + Rapid Prototyping

There were two main tasks for this lab. The first task was to individually brainstorm an AEV concept design and then draw individual sketches in an orthographic view.  The second task was a group discussion to decide upon the group design by comparing and contrasting the individual sketches and then drawing the final design in an orthographic view.  During the discussion about the group design, the team gained a better understanding of what will make the best AEV.  For example, the balance and efficiency are two most important factors.

In this lab, the team learned how to make the main body of the final design and how to design it to be more balanced and efficient. The brainstorm technique is very helpful because it’s the main way the group will solve problems that may occur throughout the AEV project.

In future labs, the team will comprise a continuation of system analysis and calculations from both observed and recorded data. The team will learn how to download data from the automatic control system and convert EEPROM Arduino data to physical parameters. The most important part is learning to calculate and analyze the data from the AEV test runs.
