Topics Discussed: Lab 1 Post-Lab

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting as a team to construct the Progress Report for Lab 1.

To Do/Action Items:

  • Complete Progress Report for Lab 1 by Sunday, January 22 at 11:59 P.M. (Abbey H, McKenzie K)
  • Attend office hours on Monday, January 23 to review Progress Report (Merveille K)

Decisions:

  • Take this lab report to Prof. Schrock or GTA Rahel’s office hours for feedback.

Reflections:

  • We did not have enough time to complete the report.
  • Continue meeting at least 4 days before future Progress Reports are due, in order to ensure completion and to understand upcoming goals and deadlines.

Topics Discussed: Lab 1 Post-Lab

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on completing the Progress Report for lab 1, using the feedback given in office hours.

To Do/Action Items:

  • Finish edits to Progress Report(Abbey H)
  • Attend GTA office hours on Tuesday, January 24 to review changes to Progress Report for Lab 1 (Abbey H)

Decisions:

  • Shorten progress report with proper format.

Reflections:

  • Use the Technical Communications Guide as a model for future Progress Reports.
  • With the next report, we need to use the Technical Communications Guide as a model, so everyone can complete their portion of the report in a faster manner.

  • Explain Lab 2 in more depth.

Reflections:

  • Continue use of Technical Communications Guide when writing future progress reports.

Topics Discussed: Lab 2 Post-Lab

Objective:

Today’s main focus was to begin work on the progress report for lab 2.

To Do/Action Items:

  • Complete progress report for lab 2 by11 P.M. on Sunday, January 29, 2017 (Abbey H, Merveille K, McKenzie K, Xinjie L)
  • Attend Rahel’s office hours on Monday, January 30 (McKenzie K)
  • Print orthographic drawing paper for entire team (Abbey H)
  • Read Lab Manual for lab 3 before Wednesday, February 1 (Abbey H, Merveille K, McKenzie K, Xinjie L)

Decisions:

  • Divided progress report amongst group members, with the expectation that each member will finish their respective parts after the meeting.
  • Questions about the individual component of this progress report need to be asked during Rahel’s office hours on Monday.

Reflections:

  • In order to understand the upcoming lab, all team members must read through the lab manual for that week. This will help the team complete the lab during the allotted time.
