Lab 6 Systems Analysis 2

This lab dealt with the gathering and analysis of data from a run of the AEV. During an AEV test run, the Arduino collects data which the data analysis tool then downloads once the run is completed and connected to a computer. In order download the Arduino data, the had to follow the MATLAB instructions provided in the lab manual after installing the design analysis tool. Understanding the data downloading process is important because it is crucial to meeting the AEV’s operational expectations. The analysis tool can then be used to plot both the AEV’s Power vs. Time and Power vs. Distance in MATLAB. These specific graphs can be seen in the Figures and Tables page. These graphs clearly show and relate the code to the energy output. The use of the graphs aid in making necessary adjustments to the code to improve AEV performance.
