Team Meeting 10:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library
Date/Time: 4/8/17 Evening (~9:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Discussed the changes to the coding style and the improvements to energy usage.
- More gliding for stopping
- Discussed changes to AEV design.
- Went from 2.5 inch to 3 inch propeller, had to adjust the black “L” support arm.
Team Meeting 9:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library, Terra-byte cafe
Date/Time: 3/29/17 Evening (~9:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Main item discussed was the changes that will need to be made to the AEV in order to get it to pull the caboose
- Hopeful that only changing 1 propeller will be sufficient
- Ideas for how to move the support the arm where discussed
- Upcoming oral presentation
- Group looked at first oral presentation, the feedback given, and the rubric for the upcoming presentation.
- Came up with some things to improve upon; i.e. slide content, better images
- divided up the work needed to be done for the rough draft.
- Team discussed the upcoming midterm and any questions they had about the material
Team Meeting 8:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library, Terra-byte cafe
Date/Time: 3/22/17 Evening (~9:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Main item discussed was the how the team would complete the second half of the code
- They decided to mirror the code for the first half of the run
- They decided to mirror the code for the first half of the run
- Upcoming oral presentation
- Group looked at first oral presentation, the feedback given, and the rubric for the upcoming presentation.
- Came up with some things to improve upon; i.e. slide content, better images

Team Meeting 7:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library, Terra-byte cafe
Date/Time: 3/17/17 Evening (~9:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Main item discussed was looking at the graphs attained from the data analysis lab and looking for ways the team could conserve energy
- Looked at peaks in graphs and compared them to the code to see where these peaks were coming from
- We discussed the importance of energy output in this project especially at the risk of losing consistency
Team Meeting 6
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library, Terra-byte cafe
Date/Time: 3/10/17 Evening (~9:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- The team looked at everything from both systems analysis labs
- The team discussed the graphs made and their significance in the project.
Team Meeting 4:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber, Jacob Meyer
Location: Science and Engineering Library, Terra-byte cafe
Date/Time: 2/20/17 Evening (~7:30 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Most discussion was centered around the Looking Foward section of the Progress Report (which two of these team member were assigned to focus on)
- Jacob worked on the Looking Back section; Matthew and Joe helped/offered any advice they could.
- Matthew and Joe worked on next week’s calendar. This is subject to approval of the whole team.
- Joe, Matthew, and Jacob reviewed the feedback from the one graded progress report and discussed ways to improve
- The main place to improve seems to be referring back to the gathered data and generated figures in order to strengthen the arguments made in the results section
- Joe, Jacob, and Matthew discussed where their third teammate has been. He has not been to lecture and all week and nobody has any idea where he is.
- The oral presentation was briefly discussed
Team Meeting 3:
Members Present: Matthew Ray, Joe Gruber
Location: Scott Laboratory West, Floor 1
Date/Time: 2/13/17 Evening (~8:00 p.m.)
Items Discussed:
- Whole discussion was centered around the Looking Foward section of the Progress Report (which these two team member were assigned to focus on)
- Matthew and Joe worked on next week’s calendar. This is subject to approval of the whole team.
- Joe and Matthew reviewed the feedback from the one graded progress report and discussed ways to improve
- The main place to improve was determined to be the weekly goals; specifically, making them more specific and actionable, not as broad as in the first progress report
- Rough outline for Situation and Weekly Goals sections was written, Matt and Joe decide they can collaborate on the filling in the outline remotely and adjourn the meeting
Team Meeting Notes 2
Meeting Notes
Team met briefly after Lab 2 to compile data from Wind Tunnel and review the code. We made sure everyone was on the same page with the progress of this project. We agreed to work on the upcoming Progress Report the same way we completed the previous one.
Team Meeting Notes 2
Meeting Notes
Team met briefly after the Lab 1 to brainstorm designs for AEV as well as map out the general code for the arduino. We looked through the parts we had and started to think of other parts we may need to make a more efficient AEV. Team also began construction on the model AEV.
