The group assembled the motors and holstered each of them in separate sockets. After the motors were set up, the Arduino was connected to the motors and powered up. The group then proceeded to test various function calls on the Arduino software. To complete this task the team set the AEV on the small rail on the table and tested the given programs. After testing various calls, two lists of function calls were completed as challenges. These processes were completed to familiarize the group with the Arduino function calls. They were also done in order for the group to take note of how the AEV interacts with the propellers, such as if there was any instances of resistance. The group also took note of the proper motor and power connections. It is crucial that these connections are never made improperly; otherwise, the Arduino may be damaged.
