Lab 2 Progress Report

Topics Discussed: Lab 1 Progress Report

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to complete the progress report for lab 1 and discuss our plans for lab 2.

Tasks Completed:

  • Format of progress report determined
  • Jobs assigned for each section
  • Majority of progress report completed
  • Lab 2 previewed and planned for

Tasks To Do:

  • Update portfolio with new information
  • Meet with Danny to complete progress report
  • Determine what needs to be completed before lab 2 tomorrow

Timeline:

  1. 1/20/17 – Lab 1 Completed
  2. 1/26/17 (4:00 pm) – Progress Report Worked on and lab 2 discussed
  3. 1/26/17  (8:00 pm) – Meeting planned to finish Progress Report

Decisions:

  • Teressa will complete appendix B and takeaways
  • Joe will complete situations
  • Maddie will insert the code, do the weekly schedule, and weekly goals
  • Danny will update the portfolio and complete the results & analysis

Reflections:

  • Determine a time the whole group can meet
  • Split up the work and do a little bit each day of the week instead of completing the whole assignment as once

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to review, finish up, and turn in the progress report for lab 1.

Tasks Completed:

  • Danny completed his assigned part
  • Progress report was reviewed and edited
  • Progress Report was turned in

Tasks To Do:

  • Update portfolio with new information

Timeline:

  1. 1/20/17 – Lab 1 Completed
  2. 1/26/17 (4:00 pm) – Progress Report Worked on and lab 2 discussed
  3. 1/26/17  (8:00 pm) – Meeting to finish Progress Report
  4. 1/27/17 – Start Lab 2

Decisions:

  • Meet tomorrow before lab to complete the pre-lab assignment of building the AEV
  • Finish the progress report by the end of the night
  • Teressa will turn in the progress report when the team lets her know it’s done

Reflections:

  • Stay focused during the time the team spends together in order to get the assignment done in an efficient time

 

Lab 3 Progress Report

Date: 1/31/17

Time: 9:00 pm

Members Present: Teressa Pell, Madeline Shaffer, Joe Spinazze, Danny Tomaszewski  

Topics Discussed: Assign jobs

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to sort out who in the group is writing which part of the progress report due to our busy schedules.

Tasks Completed:

  • Each person in the group picked a section
  • Expectations for this progress report were sorted out among the group

Tasks To Do:

  • Work on the progress report individually throughout the week
  • Have the progress report finished by friday morning

Timeline:

  1. Monday (Jan. 30th) through Thursday (Feb. 2nd) – progress report worked on throughout the week by the group
  2. Feb. 3rd (morning) – turn in progress report
  3. Feb. 3rd (day) – complete lab 3

Decisions:

  • Joe will do the backwards looking situation
  • Teressa will do appendix B, the takeaways, check grammar, and turn in the document
  • Joe and Danny with work on the results and analysis
  • Maddie will work on the forwards looking situation, goals, and schedule
  • Each member will do their individual calculations

Reflections:

  • Weeks with midterms will require the team to have to work on the progress report on their own time

 
Lab 4 Progress Report

Date: 2/7/17

Topics Discussed: Progress Report

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to assign jobs and agree upon having our individual drawings done by Thursday’s meeting.

Tasks Completed:

  • Jobs assigned
  • Next meeting decided to be Thursday at 4 pm

Tasks To Do:

  • Finish progress report
  • Finish group drawing
  • Prepare for lab 4

Timeline:

  1. 2/3/2017 – lab 3 completed
  1. 2/7/2017 (9:30 pm) – agreed upon jobs
  2. 2/9/2017 (4:00 pm) – finish group drawing and progress report
  3. 2/10/2017 (morning) – progress report completed and turned in
  4. 2/10/2017 – lab 4

Decisions:

We decided we are going to finish our individual portions by Thursday and finish the progress report and the group drawing together during our next meeting.

Reflections:

Working on the individual portions apart and setting aside time to work on the group portion together will get the work done more efficiently.

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to work on the progress report and finish the group drawing.

Tasks Completed:

  • Group drawing decided upon and finished
  • Majority of progress report completed

Tasks To Do:

  • Finish progress report
  • Prepare for lab 4

Timeline:

  1. 2/9/2017 (4:00 pm) – finish group drawing and progress report
  2. 2/10/2017 (morning) – progress report completed and turned in
  3. 2/10/2017 – lab 4

Decisions:

We decided we are going to finish our progress report by Friday morning and turn it in.

Reflections:

We decided we are going to use Joe’s drawing for our group drawing and add a few other ideas to it. We also think we should start on the next progress report earlier in the week because there is a lot of data associated with it.

 

Lab 5 Progress Report

Date: 2/14/17

Time: 9:30 pm

Members Present: Teressa Pell, Madeline Shaffer, Joe Spinazze

Topics Discussed: Jobs and Make-up Lab

Objective:

During this meeting the group discussed what parts of the progress report will be assigned to who and our plans for meeting tomorrow to collect the data in the makeup lab.

Tasks Completed:

  • Each group member took responsibility for a part of the progress report
  • Each member agreed to go to the makeup lab at 8 pm on Wednesday

Tasks To Do:

  • Go to the makeup lab to collect the data and download it onto matlab
  • Meet to finish the progress report on Thursday
  • Devise a plan for next lab

Timeline:

  1. 2/14/17 – Meeting at 9:30 pm
  2. 2/15/17 – Makeup lab at 8 pm
  3. 2/16/17 – Meeting to finish progress report 4-6 pm
  4. 2/17/17 – Lab 5

Decisions:

We decided Teressa is going to do Appendix B, analyze the results, and turn in the document. Danny and Maddie are going to work on the data and graphs made in matlab. Danny is going to do the takeaways and Maddie is going to do the weekly goals and weekly schedule as well. Joe is going to do forwards and backwards looking situations.

Reflections:

Meeting times should be crucially set and attended by all members.

Objective:

The objective of this meeting is to finish graphing the data and finish the progress report.

Tasks Completed:

  • Data was collected
  • Progress Report mostly finished and will be in at the end of the day

Tasks To Do:

  • Prepare for lab tomorrow
  • Update project portfolio

Timeline:

  1. 2/16/17 – Meeting to finish progress report 4-6 pm
  2. 2/17/17 – Lab 5

Decisions:

The progress will be turned in when the results are finished and everyone puts in their individual calculations.

Reflections:

The group has been doing better with turning assignments in on time and doing their parts on assignments.\

 

Lab 6 Progress Report

Date: 2/21/17

Time: 9:30 pm

Topics Discussed: Jobs

Objective:

The purpose of this meeting was to organize our thoughts about lab 5 and talk about who is going to complete what in the progress report.

Tasks Completed:

  • Everyone picked a responsibility for this progress report
  • We agreed to complete it and the worksheet on Thursday at 4 pm

Tasks To Do:

  • Meet to finish the progress report on Thursday
  • Complete the presentation worksheet for lab 6 about the oral presentation

Timeline:

  1. 2/17/17 – Lab 5 Completed
  2. 2/21/17 – First meeting to determine jobs
  3. 2/23/17 – Second meeting to work on progress report
  4. 2/24/17 – Lab 6

Decisions:

We decided Teressa will do appendix B and the takeaways, Danny will complete the results and analysis, Joe will do the backwards looking situation, and Maddie will do the situation, weekly goals, and weekly schedule for the forwards looking section.

Reflections:

The group only needs to meet twice on weeks with a very long progress report with a lot of data.

Objective:

The purpose of this meeting is to complete the progress report and the worksheet due for lab 6.

Tasks Completed:

  • Progress report completed except for Danny’s portion
  • Oral presentation worksheet

Tasks To Do:

  • Complete Danny’s portion
  • Update project portfolio

Timeline:

  1. 2/23/17 – Second meeting to work on progress report
  2. 2/24/17 – Lab 6

Decisions:

The progress report will be turned in when all portions are completed.

Reflections:

All members should attend meetings and let the group know at least a day in advance if they can’t make it.

 

PT1

Date: 03 – March – 2017

Topics Discussed: PT 1/Lab 8A

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to complete the progress report and talk about the performance test in tomorrow’s lab.

Tasks Completed:

  • Progress report
  • Devised a plan for tomorrow

Tasks To Do:

  • Update portfolio with new information
  • Finish building the AEV
  • Start working on a completed code to go around the track
  • Work on the PDR

Timeline:

  1. 3/8/17 – meet to finish PT8
  2. 3/9/17 – lab proficiency quiz and performance test (lab 8A)
  3. 3/10/17 – lab 8B

Decisions:

  • We will each work on the PDR over break
  • We will finish building the AVE tomorrow in class

Reflections:

  • We should start to come up with some other designs in case our first one doesn’t work out well
  • Writing the code will be a lot of trial and error, especially as our design changes

 

PT3

Date: 29 – March – 2017

Topics Discussed: PT 2/Lab 9

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to complete the progress report and talk about our plan for the rest of the upcoming weeks to plan for the final testing and final presentation.

Tasks Completed:

  • Progress report
  • Devised a plan for the rest of the semester

Tasks To Do:

  • Update portfolio with new information
  • Finalize the AEV design
  • Finish the second code
  • Test the AEV to make sure it runs correctly and consistently

Timeline:

  1. 3/31/17 – lab 10A
  2. 4/4/17 – lab 10B
  3. 4/6/17 – lab 10C
  4. 4/11/17 – lab 11A

Decisions:

  • We will finalize the code by the end of next week
  • We will decide to meet sparingly next week due to exams and work on our portions when we can

Reflections:

  • The code is coming along very well and we have been using a trial and error system with the code in order to finalize it
  • We need to keep up on the work and push through for the rest of the semester

 

PT4

Date: 7 – April  – 2017

Objective:

Today’s main focus was on meeting to finish up the progress report.

Tasks Completed:

  • Update portfolio with new information
  • Finalize the AEV design
  • Test the AEV to make sure it runs correctly and consistently

Timeline:

  1. 4/7/17 – Lab 11A
  2. 4/11/17 – Lab 11B
  3. 4/13/17 – Lab 11C
  4. 4/17/17 – AEV Showcase

Decisions:

  • We will finalize the code by the end of next week
  • We will meet once this week to finish the progress report

Reflections:

  • The group has been keeping up with the work well
  • The group is hoping to participate in the showcase for a fun experience
