Mission
With the dwindling supply of non-renewable energy on the planet, there is a substantial need for technology with high efficiency. More efficient technologies will allow for the conservation and maximization of this energy in order to slow the process of disappearance and buy researchers time to find alternative ways to power an ever-growing population. Climate change is also a significant reason for the need for alternative and high efficiency technologies. The Advanced Energy Vehicle (AEV) is a representation of a vehicle that may be needed in the future to reduce on the emissions of regular gas cars. The development of electric cars is a very big step in the right direction for these conservation goals, but it is engineer’s responsibility to improve the quality of life for the planet and the general public by continuing research on these vehicles to make them as efficient on electricity as possible. The AEV is similar to an electric car as it runs on a battery that needs recharged, and throughout this semester research was performed on the AEV to find the most efficient design and code, while also being aesthetically pleasing and relatively durable.
