This website is run by a group of engineering students studying at The Ohio State University and more specifically, working on a Star Wars themed Advanced Energy Vehicle project in the Engineering 1182 course throughout the 2017 spring semester. The Advanced Energy Vehicle, often referenced as the AEV, runs on a monorail system and is powered by an Arduino Nano board and a battery. The goal is to travel past a gate to the end of the track, use magnets to pick up a platform holding an R2D2, and return to the starting point all in one piece. This project involves Arduino coding, SolidWorks designs, and collaborative teamwork.

The students involved are Teressa Pell, Maddie Shaffer, Joe Spinazze and Danny Tomaszewski. They are looking for a successful run that includes a creative AEV design and an efficient, smooth ride. They have uploaded pages and posts with information about their progress, such as pictures, videos, designs and data analysis.

Take a look around! Warning: you may experience exorbitant amounts of joy watching Teressa, Maddie, Joe and Danny beat the odds and create the best AEV to date.
