Brandenburg Gate

While on our walking tour of Berlin, we visited the famous Brandenburg gate. Our tour guide gave us a great presentation of the historical events that took place at this site such as Napoleon stealing the Quadriga statue atop the gate, the Nazi party’s well known march throughout the city, and after the Berlin Wall fell it served as symbol of unification of Berlin. This monument served such an important part to Germany’s history and it was humbling experience to see the gate in person!
