Welcome: Julie welcomed the group and shared the agenda
College Council Update:
- Summary of the year
- Discussed a statement about the protests and the university’s response
- Snyder shared the final document for the faculty work load
- Election updates for 2024-2025
June Meeting:
Dr. Luthy, Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Operations will be the guest speaker.

- Budget questions:
- Will there be funds for training, certifications, and conferences next year?
- Is there a timeline for more budget cuts?
- How does workforce planning impact the budget and cuts?
- What is the program review process and how that might affect staff that supports different programs in the college?
- What action the college is taking on the Staff Equity Commission’s Report?
University Staff Advisory Council Updates
- Taking applications for staff senator
- Professional Development Funds/application due by 5/31
- Share your feedback to USAC for next year’s initiatives
EHESAC 2024-2025 –
Leadership positions are available to the 2024-25 year
- Co Chair: Samantha Peterson, opening
- Secretary is open
- If interested, please contact Julie Miller.
Applications for the EHESAC group will go out in the Insider on Monday,
- please encourage staff to participate.
- It will be a Qualtrics survey. Once they are turned in, we will meet to review them.
Subcommittees:
Professional Development:
- Created a list, updated links,
- The link document will be moved to Resources on the EHE SAC Website. Nancy will update the website
Recognition Committee:
- Working on wellness with chair massages and buckeye paws Innovator for additional activities/events. Some areas of EHE Leadership do not support wellness initiatives for staff.
- The college has suggested hosting the ice cream social in July, waiting for budget approval.
Community Outreach:
- No survey for this summer per Dr. Luthy as the President is sending a university staff survey.
- Survey was started but will revisit for a summer 2025 deadline
- Concerns raised. College needs to respond to share they care about staff and that our survey makes a difference for staff.
