CompDrug is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. They are a leader in developing, promoting and providing a fully responsive range of reasearch-based programs and services to assist in the prevention, treatment, recovery and wellness of those affected by the disease of addiction.
CompDrug has been providing services in Central Ohio for more than 38 years. They are a federally recognized Opioid Treamtment Program licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS). CompDrug is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and has been since 2003.
What is CompDrug’s Role in this project?
CompDrug will provide training and technical assistance on the intervention components to the Community Action Board (CAB), staff from Integrated Services, and the Program Manager that will include:
- Engaging with Peer Recovery Supporters
- Take-home Naloxone administration
In the early stages of the project, CompDrug will utilize their current pharmacy provider to implement Narcan trainings as well as education surrounding opioid use and misuse.
