All DNP students are required to obtain a letter of support from the site location where they plan to implement their project. This letter should be obtained before students begin the project.
Instructions: You should include a letter of support from the executive leadership or designee at the site and unit (if applicable) where you plan to implement your DNP project. The following components must be present within the letter:
- Commitment from the executive leadership or designee to support implementation of your DNP project within the planned practice setting at their site.
- Statement of commitment to provide on-site guidance from a site organizational sponsor for your project initiatives, including securing any needed approvals for data collection and storage in accordance with local requirements.
- Identification of a specific individual within the organization who will serve as your site organizational sponsor, and their title and qualifications to serve in that role.
An example letter is provided. You can customize this letter to include your site-specific information and obtain the required signatures.
