G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: To develop my global awareness, I have taken Italian 1101 and 1102, with 1103 soon to come. This class has exposed me to the language and culture of Italy, particularly with its rich tradition in the arts. I hope to continue to grow as a global citizen by traveling to Italy in the Summer of 2020, after my graduation.

Original Inquiry: I’ve actively pursued research opportunities, and was fortunate enough to be welcomed into the Sevov Lab at OSU which focuses on organometallic synthesis. I hope to learn more about the research process, and to soon run my own experiments and present my findings at a research forum.

Academic Enrichment: My planned curriculum demonstrates that I choose difficult classes in order to get the most out of my undergraduate experience, and pursue academic excellence.

Leadership Development: I’ve participated as a mentor in Dr. Fus’s Undergraduate Excellence program to develop leadership and contribute to other students. I helped undergrad gen chem students with their study strategies and test preparation. I’ve joined a fraternity and became its service director. As such, I organized and successfully ran a care package service event.

Service Engagement: I’ve worked with StarHouse Youth Shelter on several occassions, sorting clothes and other necesseties to serve the homeless community. I’ve also acted as Service Director for my fraternity, and sent care packages to troops overseas. I plan to organize more service events, and continue to volunteer at StarHouse.
