To edit these pictures, I used filters to enhance the lighting effects of each one, increasing the contrast on the hard lighting, and increasing the brightness on the soft lighting and the golden hour. To edit the pictures, I used the tools we learned on Thursday and the select tool. I realized as I work that the saying “less is more” applies to using Photoshop a lot. A portrait is supposed to be a photo that shows the personality of the subject in how its framed. It should tell a story. You give life to a portrait with framing, lighting, props, and editing the photo. Specific lighting can enhance a subject’s personality. For example, a person can look kinder in soft lighting, and meaner in hard lighting.
