The website I decided to critique was my old dance team’s, Sophistication Dance Company (SDC). Now, most information for the team is posted through facebook, and the site is really only used to pay bills, but I think the website looks like it was made in 2002. I dislike the site for many reasons. One reason is the color scheme. It a terrible green color and the text is all bright pink. These colors might look good on a dance floor, but they look terrible on a webpage. I also hate the photos that they use. For example, the first picture you see is this:
And yes, it is that big.
I dislike this because I think this is a terrible representation of my dance team, it makes us look old, and not well put together. If someone is looking for a place to take their daughter to dance, and this is someone’s first impression of SDC, they might pick somewhere else. I mean, they have a photographer who takes amazing photos all the time, and never uses them! I googled for about 30 seconds and found this:
This would be a much better representation of SDC.
