My name is Kevin Albers and I grew up in the Westpark neighborhood of Cleveland. There I went to St. Marks School from 1st to 8th grade and then attended St. Edwards High School where I participated in Youth Challenge, Stage Crew, Linguistics Club, and was very often found in our pottery room. In that room I made many sculptures one of which I entered into a Cleveland art contest where I won first place for my sculpture piece. Now I attend The Ohio State University as a Biomedical Engineering student hoping to specialize in biomechanics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. I have been a part of the Green Engineering Scholars program in which I worked together with fellow peers in various green engineering related activities for the past two years. Additionally we did much community service work relating towards the environment in the Columbus area surrounding the Ohio State campus.
