This is my first drawing using 1 point perspective. I am pretty happy with this one, I’ll adjust some of the lines to be a bit cleaner.
This is my second drawing using two point perspective, I’ll likely redo this one and get some extended paper to improve my accuracy.
Hi Ethan, this is good start for this drawing. By keeping your lines very light you have a lot of space to build up the drawing and change your mind as you go along. It looks like you really figured out the proportions of the space in the one-point drawing, which makes the next steps so much easier and fun! Diving into the details will be really satisfying because you put in the hard work to layout everything. Then you get to play!
It is hard for me to see exactly what is happening in the second drawing because it is really light, but I am guessing this is of your dorm / bedroom / apartment? With that as the foundational scene for the drawing, I think you can really think about the narrative or story that you will be telling by depicting this space. Your third drawing is really an opportunity to bring in another thread — and it can even be fiction. I know you love comics, so you can definitely use your interest in comics to your advantage for this assignment. Maybe each page of paper is a different panel in a three-panel comic strip, but the story is breaking out of the prescribed frame. You are also welcome to put the figure in this work if you want. Maybe characters from your favorite comic book jumped out of the book into your bedroom – space jam style! There are so many paths that you can take here with this foundation and I am excited where you decide to go!
