Hello, my name is Coumba Sow and welcome to my podcast Yo, is this systematic and justice? During this episode I will be discussing an event that happened that I consider an example of injustice. Many of you may have heard the name Brianna Taylor trending on social media Pat platforms as well as trending on the news. But do you really know what happened to Brianna Taylor? Throughout this podcast I will also include audio clips of the interview between late Brianna’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker and Gayle King.

A terrible event happened involving three police officers that led to the murder of Brianna Taylor. Brianna’s home was broken into around 2am by the police. Here’s an audio clip of Kenneth Walker explaining his point of view what happened back in house, watching the movie, take us to that moment when your life really changed forever is allowed bang at the door. And no nobody was responding. When we sat with. You all did ask who is it several times. Several times both of us knows no response. Brianna’s home was broken into around 2am by the police and the police were trying to find a suspect who was already in police custody at this time. During the interview with Gayle King Kenneth Walker explains that he fired one shot because he did not know there were police officers at his door he thought someone was breaking in so he tried to defend him and his girlfriend as well. As a result of this, the police fired more than six shots but six shots entered Brianna Taylor’s body which killed her.

After searching her home, they did not find any incriminating evidence against Brianna. Here is how Kenneth Walker described the gunshots

I guess in the middle of all the gunfire like she screamed like outside in her hand. You are holding her hand. Yeah, like while this is happening. I put her down to the ground. But you know, she was just scared. So she just didn’t get down. So in the middle of all of this, you realize that she’s been hit. wish she alive at the time she was still a lot of gunfire stopped. She was like bleeding and stuff and I was holding her. Now the next one I called my mom. You called your mom first. Yeah, I told her that somebody just kicked in the door and chapra she

as you can hear at this point, Kenneth Walker still did not know it was the cops firing the shots, he still thought someone was breaking into his home firing shots into his girlfriend’s body. After the gunshots stopped firing, the officers took Kenneth Walker to the police station still leaving Brianna Taylor’s body in the room. Here’s a another clip of Kenneth Walker describing what happened that night

for me, and another officer an unmarked car and he wasn’t in uniform and stuff. And he came into my window. But his tone was way different than everybody else’s who was just on the scene. How so different how he told me that this was that this was a misunderstanding. And we’re gonna get to the bottom of it and asking me that I need anything that I need water and this man.

As you can see, this is the moment where the officers realize that they have made a mistake, and they just killed an innocent soul. Because of this event, African Americans all over America as well as their allies were furious. This left a huge impact on the African American community because now black Americans do not feel safe nor protected in a place they consider their home and from people who are supposed to be protecting them. I distinguish this as systematic injustice because a black woman did not get the justice she deserved. She did nothing wrong but died and her killers are still roaming free. This speaks to the black community because they see this event as underlying racism. In my opinion, I think all three of those officers should have been in jail because their body cameras were also removed somehow, which is also illegal. And they also murdered a young woman. These three officers need to go to jail because Briana Taylor’s life mattered and she deserved way better. All around the world. African Americans are treated unfairly just because of the color of their skin. Brianna deserve better and African Americans deserve better. So do you think this

is an example of systematic and justice. What do you think should happen to the cops
