Health and Accident Insurance
The. U.S. Department of Education does not assume, by virtue of the Fulbright-Hays GPA grant, any responsibility for personal injury, accident, illness, or loss of personal property or other contingencies that may happen to participants during or as a result of their stay abroad.
All participants must be covered by health and accident insurance plans. The insurance should include Emergency Medical Evacuation as well as Repatriation of Remains coverage. All participants are responsible for any fees associated with their health and accident insurance coverage.
The Ohio State University requires that all individuals purchase supplemental travel insurance when participating in university-sponsored programs.

Other Health & Safety Notes
All participants are responsible for obtaining their passports. The Fulbright GPA grant does not provide funds for passport, vaccination, or health insurance expenses.
You should be up to date on routine vaccinations while traveling to any destination. Some vaccines may also be required for travel – please check with your family doctor for medical advice.
