This much-anticipated event is certainly one to put on the calendar and promises beautiful artwork for all who attend. Every semester the Student League of Independent Ceramists (SLIC) of OSU offer their handmade artwork for sale. The SLIC Ceramics Sale is a fantastic opportunity to purchase artwork directly from the students. The sale includes functional pottery, sculptures, and ceramic jewelry. This artwork makes great unique, handmade gifts for the holidays, or as a gift to treat yourself.
The funds from the sale directly support the students at OSU through the activities of SLIC. SLIC hosts visiting professional artists who discuss the students’ creative research, deliver slide lectures, and serve as examples of successful artists. SLIC also sponsors member attendance to the annual National Conference for the Education of the Ceramic Arts, where students attend exhibitions and lectures, and have the opportunity to network towards their next career move.
The sale is November 14-15 from 9am – 5pm. It occurs outside of Hopkins Hall and faces out into the Oval.
