If you can close your mail clients and forego using department email until Monday- we invite you to do so to help the transition go more smoothly.

Certainly wait for confirmation from Computer Support that the transition of your account is complete before doing anything besides simply sending and receiving email. Sending and receiving email is possible as soon as the new mail server is on line, though the initial work/downtime will take several hours.
