CHEMISTRY server – Mail, Reboot, and FSCK

We’ve experienced a complete melt down of the CHEMISTRY server due to unchecked run away IMAP processes. The server is out of processes and requires a hard reboot. Rebooting in this fashion will require fsck to run on the disks. This process typically takes between 30-60 minutes. It could take more. Mail and Unix/Linux file services from CHEMISTRY will be unavailable until this process is complete. Notice will be posted to the blog when these services are restored.
