Chemistry is running on the backbone backup link
Network access to Celeste & McPherson is restored via this backup link.
Chem Backbone is down
The issue affecting all of McPherson and part of Celeste is a backbome outage. Jim is flipping our network over to the backup links. Network service should be restored shortly if the backup link performs as designed.
Network outage is being addressed
Jim, our Network Engineer, has been contacted and he is analyzing the issue. We’ll have network access back up ASAP. Updates will be posted on the blog: http://osuchemistry.info/ as they are available.
network outage in MP and CE
there is a reported network outage in celeste and mcpherson. on my way in to investigate.
PRINT is back online
An unexplained spike in disk activity, memory usage, and CPU locked up the server. After a hard reboot printing appears to be back online and functioning.
PRINT is being rebooted
The server PRINT is being rebooted. The server was acting flakey.
Outage During Maintenance Window- This Friday 03.20.09
Most of the IT infrastructure is going down for a firmware update this friday at 8:00PM until 12:00PM.This includes the windows file server, DNS, the departmental website, printing, software license servers, sharepoint, our trouble ticket system, and the terminal server.This represents the first site-wide outage of these services since our installation of the cluster about 6 months ago.
