The demo lab is now hiring for the spring 2026 semester!
If you are a STEM major with knowledge in General Chemistry and would like to join our team, please apply by scanning the QR code below by January 19th, 2026.
Requirements:
- Must be an OSU Student
- Completed CHEM 1220 by Spring 2026
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Available to work a minimum of 12 hrs/week
Job Description:
- Accurately and efficiently prepare and deliver demonstrations to chemistry professor’s Classroom
- Understand demonstration protocols and procedures and be able to present the demos to others while explaining underlying scientific concepts
- Lead outreach events, interacting with audiences of children ages 6-12 y.o.
- Master Laboratory safety procedures, getting certified in chemical hazards and fire extinguisher training
