Service

For my freshman year, I completed over 30 hours of service primarily through the student organization ENCompass. As part of my job, I volunteer at local hospitals and food pantries once a week and consult with low income community members in an effort to address social determinants of health. In addition, I also direct clients to local resources and recommend social programming for those who may be considered food or housing insecure. This experience with ENCompass was truly eye opening, and its crazy to think that we have a multitude of social resources and programming that many of those in need do not know about. I really loved this work and chose to join the sites committee of ENCompass to get more involved with the organization. I plan to continue to be an active member of ENCompass over the next three years as this volunteering was very meaningful to me and I felt like I was making a difference in the Columbus community.
