YOUTH TOUR EXPERIENCE
Firelands will sponsor up to two high school sophomores or juniors on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., as part of the June 14-20, 2026 Youth Tour. Firelands Electric, in cooperation with Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (NRECA), offers this exciting opportunity to students who live in a home served by the cooperative. Selected delegates will travel to Washington, D.C., with students and chaperones from co-ops throughout the state of Ohio. Once in the nation’s capital, they will be joined by roughly 1,800 additional students from electric cooperatives across the country. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet congressional leaders, visit historical sites, and make lifelong friendships. Additional information and links to photos and video of previous Youth Tours are available on our website at www.firelandsec.com/youth-tour-experience.
Please note that applications will be completed via the online form on the Firelands website this year and must be completed by 4 p.m. on January 23, 2026.
