Hi! I am Ali and am a biology major on the pre-med track. While somedays there are struggles, I could not be happier with not only my major but also being here at Ohio State. My grandfather came here years ago and integrated this passion for Ohio state throughout my family. The community here has been awe inspiring and has allowed me to participate in some incredible opportunities including a research project with Tang lab, several different organizations (Peers advancing literacy, Perfect Pair, Buckeye Shadowing, etc.), and life-long friendships. This sense of community has been especially important to me as I moved around a few times in my childhood living in Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio before graduating high school. Ultimately this was also a driving factor in choosing to be honors as I knew that by being in the honors program I would be able to be a part of a community of people that shared interests and a work ethic similar to mine. With that said, Ohio State is where I belong and I could not be happier with the path it is leading me down.
