Hi everyone! My name is Morgan, and I am a born and raised Buckeye from Troy, Ohio. I chose OSU for the many opportunities and resources, the amazing neuroscience program, and the atmosphere of a large school. I chose to join the honors program because throughout high school, I held myself to a high academic standard. I have always enjoyed being academically challenged, and I knew that I wanted to continue to surround myself with peers who felt similarly. I love the resources and opportunities that the honors program offers. I hope to go to medical school upon completion of my undergraduate degree, which means I am pretty busy! I am a research assistant for Mace Lab, where we study pancreatic cancer tumors. Along with being an Honors Peer Mentor, I am also an intern for Buckeye Blood Club, a student representative on the Honors and Scholars Alumni Council, and an executive board member for my sorority. I love to volunteer, and on my breaks I work as a patient care volunteer at my hometown hospital. Around campus you’ll likely find me at the gym or on the sand volleyball courts! My favorite experience at OSU so far was probably beating Notre Dame for my first ever OSU football game as a student here, it was awesome! My favorite class I’ve taken thus far has been Intro to Behavioral Neuroscience (super interesting stuff!). My best advice for students would be to become involved with organizations that you’re truly passionate about and interested in. OSU has something for everyone, and now is the perfect opportunity to explore interests and clubs you’d never have the chance to otherwise! Figure out the bus system, study at least one time in every library, and don’t be scared to try something new!
