The background image is a Lane Avenue Bridge beside OSU. I took this by long expose. As a traveling magazine, the cover should be a landmark building that can make audience realized which city is at once. So this bridge is one the best choice to represent Columbus. The other layer is the map of Columbus and I lower the transparency since this map is not the most important element. There are two color and only one type of word, red and white, so that whole cover will be look more unitive. In addition, I build the black color mask above the bridge image. This is because the light of street is too string to see the white word. After add the mask, the whole picture will be darker so that the word can be shown more clear.
