This photograph shows the Open composition. These arcs will be easy to be recognized by the students live on campus. They lined up neatly, and if we stooped over to inspect they will become a kind of arched door. Looking through this metal arches is a strange feeling, and the long line point into the distant darkness. I took this photo at the night, so these lock cylinder shine with grey or dark grey metallic lustre under the street lamp. I use photoshop to adjust the contrast ratio and change in to black and white so that make this metal more substantial.
The above image belong to closed composition. I put the traditional Chinese sculpture in the middle of the picture. This sculpture show two dragons playing a ball. This pattern is very popular in Han Nationality. It is often used in decoration for Buildings. Also, at the left corner, breeze jostled the leaves of ancient ginkgoes and reflected sunshine. These leaves make this image more active. Rather than listen to the boring history by this ancient and vicissitudes walls. In order to make the leaves more bright and green, I increase the color saturation by photoshop.
This peacock can be seen as Symmetrical composition. People say if you see a While Peacock it will bring you good luck. So I take this candid photograph when a peacock shows his fan in full display. As a rule make use the full range of luminosity : from completely dark and black to completely white. This makes photos dynamic and vivid. This image is not black-and-white photograph, but it only composed by this two color. And I also change the contrast ratio, this peacock look solemn by this way.
