Eighth Week at Arsenal

Hi Everyone!

First Team Field

Everything at the training center has been very busy this week. The reason is the first team (main team) has started practicing for the upcoming season at the Arsenal training center. Before their arrival, the grounds crew have been very busy to prepare. Many of the work involved mowing the pitches with the priming and tripling mowers to painting the soccer field layout.

There has been continuous rain through most of last week, but this week it has been sunny and warm. This is good news for the crew for not having any delays and getting the work done. I also work on the weekend shift once again. Most of the weekend work included mowing all the fields and getting ready for the first team arrival to the training center.

It was also a first for me to work on the 4th of July. It felt very different not being around for the fireworks and being with friends, but I celebrate by having a cheeseburger and fries and Facetiming the family to wish them a happy 4th of July.

Can’t believe that I only have about a month left in my internship at Arsenal. I am really enjoying my time here in England and hope to learn more as the days wind down for my short time that I have left. Hope you enjoy this week’s blog post. Until next time, cheers!
