Sixth Week at Arsenal

Hi Everyone!
Can’t believe that it is already the half way point into my internship at the Arsenal Traning Grounds in England! The weather in England has been raining pretty much everyday since last week and more rain is coming through the next few days and into the weekend.
Currently at the training center, renovations are still ongoing as the crew is now renovating the last pitch in the first team section.

There is plenty of grass that is growing at the center, leaving no shortage of mowing that has to be done each day from the pitches to the garden areas.

Also this week we had the groundskeepers come over from Emirates Stadium, the main stadium where Arsenal plays at in London, to visit the grounds.image
The maintenance department at the training center have design a brush in front of the Honda mower to be used in the stadium to help with the efficiency of growth for the grass. It is kind of like an aggressive brush to help circulate the nutrients from the soil around the surface during the mowing. It is only going to be used once in a while as part of the plan that Arsenal uses to keep their grasses healthy year round.
I hope to go and see the stadium in another few weeks when the grass is established. Besides that, everything else is going well and I am really enjoying my time here in England. Before I know it, I will be home in another month and a half.
