Age-Friendly Communities Cycle of Improvement

The work towards creating and fostering an age-friendly community involves a continuous process of improvement. The World Health Organization and AARP Liveable Communities has enrolled Age-Friendly communities follow a 5 year cycle of improvement. By entering the Age-Friendly Network, you are not saying your community is Age-Friendly, rather than your community is committed to working to become more Age-Friendly. The below graphic outlines the cycle, Assess – Plan – Implement -Evaluation. The goal is that this cycle continues to restart each 5 years.
