Looking for a Forever Home

Dear 4-H Volunteers and Members,

We received a call from a community member looking for a good home for their foster dog, Charlie. She said her other dogs are not getting along with him very well (they don’t think Charlie belongs there), and he is starting to become more anxious the longer he stays.

He is an older beagle, but she is not sure what age. He is a lovable rescue, fixed, and house trained. Charlie enjoys walks and gets along great with other dogs (besides her dogs who don’t seem to like Charlie). He tends to be afraid of his own shadow and doesn’t like the sound of guns.

She has not advertised on Facebook, because she wants him to go to a good, quiet home and be happy and loved. She recommends a home with an older couple that may be retired and enjoy the outdoors but can give Charlie all the love and attention he needs. If you can think of or know anyone, please contact Melanie at 740-684-0891.

4-H Enrollments

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we prepare for 4-H enrollments this year.

We are moving to an online system, however, our office is still organizing profiles and preparing notice materials. Our staff is compiling a list of families that we have emails for and those who we do not have emails for. The families that have emails in the system, will receive an email from our office regarding the process to enroll in 4-H. Those who do not have an email in the system, will receive a printed letter in the mail regarding the process to enroll in 4-H.

Please wait for that notice (either email or mail) before attempting to enroll in the online system. There will be specific instructions for you, so we can avoid an issues in the system.

Facebook posts are found at Ohio 4-H FacebookΒ andΒ Ohio 4-H Diversity Dialogue Facebook. We also have the website,Β go.osu.edu/4Hequity, regularly updated with the resources, reading lists, and challenges to refer back to!

Last week was about Religious Beliefs, and this week is about Race and Ethnicity.
