Spectacular presentation! Very important work. Expanding this work to a larger more diverse population might provide additional support to develop a clinical prediction tool. Which cytokine might be the most important? Or would it be a combination of cytokines? Great job!
Thank you Dr. Tate. It is likely a combination of inflammatory cytokines working together in a cascade method that would be able to predict the readiness for labor. Ideally this work may be able to lead to a clinical prediction tool, like you said, to help women understand when they are ready to go to the hospital for labor.
